Fields Series
“This series features generative wildflower fields, combining computational art with watercolor wildflowers of Texas. Once a wildflower field is generated, it is printed and transferred onto a wooden panel. Each piece is unique due to random parameters of the programmatically grown wildflowers and the unique natural grain of the wooden panel. Overall, these ongoing explorations are focused on documenting and arranging native wildflowers that reside and bloom in Texas, highlighting an important part of the local, natural ecosystem and the diminished prairie grasslands.”
“My work aims to be open-ended and focused on observations of my surroundings and I often play and design with various forms of technology and art. I often learn through the process of creating art and also create art through the process of learning.
I aim to experiment with the fragments and pieces of the offline and online worlds that have influenced me. By creating, I hope to spark + explore connections between people and environment and reimagine forms of tradition and community.
